Broadway Stages‘ Gina Argento attends the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation(SIEDC) Business Conference to be recognized for her efforts in the upcoming Staten Island Stages at the Arthur Kill Correctional Facility. The transformation of the old prison will bring about positive benefits and economic activity. Set to create new 5 sound stages that will attract film production companies who will spend locally and gather local talent, the soon to come Staten Island Stages will operate as a hub of economic activity to boost local Staten Island communities and businesses.
The SIEDC recognizes Gina Argento’s, President of Brooklyn based Broadway Stages, endeavor to transform the unused Arthur Kill Correctional Facility into a sound stage production location for the benefit of the Staten Island economy. Attending the 19th Annual SIEDC Business Conference, Gina’s continued commitment to Staten Island is congratulated with one of the Top 31 Awards, which commends 31 businessmen and businesswomen who look to bring positive change to Staten Island.
The event was covered by NY1 which comments on the Arthur Kill development, citing support from Staten Island Borough President James Oddo that “Every time you hear a director say action, that means there is economic activity happening.”
