Breathe Easy, Breathe Green with Broadway Stages

Many New Yorkers who suffer from breathing complications is the consequences of poor air quality in the urban environment. Living in a city with intensive air pollution contributes to a growing concern for asthma and asthma related development in our local New York City communities.

To reduce air pollution and increase air quality, Broadway Stages’ Gina Argento, has taken the stand to combat air pollution with our first urban farm, Rooftop Farm, located on 44 Eagle Street. As New York City’s first urban farm, Rooftop Farms has helped reduce intensive carbon concentration in the air by absorbing harmful quantities of carbon since 2008. Broadway Stages seeks inspire the New York community to follow our urban farm movement in NYC to promote a cleaner and healthier NYC.
