The Community-Word Project(CWP) provides children from Grades 1-12 in New York City schools, after-schools, and NYC public libraries with professional writers and artists to stimulate artistic writing and artistic creation. The CWP offers multi-disciplinary art programs that utilizes creative arts as a learning medium for students to discover their passions while being engaged in learning. CWP pairs visual artists, musicians, photographers, and dancers with a writing professional during a 15-25-week residency to fully immerse student activity and depth of learning. Beyond the educational support that CWP provides, the CWP programs empower children to believe they can change the world!
Broadway Stages President Gina Argento wants children to experience the unique style of integrated learning provided by CWP. To support the CWP mission in education and self development of children, Gina has financially supported the CWP to allow it to continue to provide its nurturing services to children. #GoGina
