Founded in 1893, the Henry Street Settlement (HSS) provides comprehensive communal support programs to help over 50,000 New Yorkers annually. HSS has helped enroll over 2,500 public school students into college access programs and after-school tutoring to expand and increase educational opportunities for NYC students. HSS also offers recreational programs for families and children to experience visual art, sports as well as health programs aimed at improving mental and physical well being. The various community engagement programs provided by HSS hopes to continue to improve the quality of life for for families and children.
Tony Argento, founder of Broadway Stages, has helped recommend a donation for Henry Street Settlement from the CBS’s production of “The Good Wife.” Tony hopes the donations will provide a safe, nurturing and academically stimulating environment for children to learn and create.
